Governance Structure
Our Local Governing Body (LGB) provides strategic leadership and accountability in our school. The LGB appoints the Head of School and the Assistant Headteachers. The Executive Headteacher was appointed by the LGB and ODST. It is LGB members who hold senior leaders to account for the performance of the school and, working with the Executive Headteacher, make the tough decisions about balancing resources.
ODST has a Board of Trustees which oversees the work of the Trust including the effectiveness of Local/Joint Governing Bodies.
As of September 2025, our LGB Board officially became a joint governing board with John Henry Newman Academy in Littlemore (JHN).
Our Joint Governing Board meets up to six times a year. Every LGB member attends these meetings.
The Resources Committee ensures that the school uses its resources to achieve best value, thereby supporting the learning of all our students. This Committee is also responsible for Health and Safety, Premises and Staffing.
