In addition to hosting trainee teachers, we are excited to offer various pathways for those interested in becoming teachers. Our school has a proven track record of supporting individuals through their journey to the classroom.
For those with a degree, we are proud to offer a 15-month teacher apprenticeship programme leading to qualified teacher status (QTS). As an apprentice, you will work in our school four days a week, receiving on-the-job training and mentorship, while also completing one day of formal training through our apprentice provider. This comprehensive approach allows you to gain valuable experience and earn a salary while working towards your teaching qualification.

We are also thrilled to support the new Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (TDA) programme. This 4-year, full-time course enables you to train as a teacher while earning a degree. Apprentices will spend approximately 40% of their time (2 days a week) studying with an accredited provider, while the remaining time is dedicated to practical, school-based learning, all while earning a salary while working towards qualified teacher status.
If you have been teaching as an unqualified teacher for at least 3 years, we can support you through the Assessment Only Route (AOR). This pathway allows you to demonstrate your competence against the Teachers’ Standards, leading to qualified teacher status (QTS) in just one year all while earning a salary.
