Safeguarding

Welcome to the Safeguarding section of our website.

At St Christopher's Cowley, we take safeguarding and the welfare of our children and families extremely seriously. Here you will find a link to the policies section of our website which has the latest safeguarding policies and procedures for our school.

Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) are:

  • Ms. Screaton – Executive Head Teacher
  • Miss Broome - Co-Head of School (Interim)
  • Mrs Hook - Co-Head of School (Interim)
  • Mrs Welton - Co-Head of School (Interim)
  • Mrs Matthews - Home School Link Worker
  • Mrs Godfrey - Senior Home School Link Worker
  • Mrs Simmons - Office Manager/PA to the Executive Headteacher/Heads of School

If you think a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 999

If you wish to report a concern, you can speak to our safeguarding lead, Ms. Katie Screaton, on 01865 772495.

Alternatively, you can report directly to the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board via the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 0507666 during office hours (8.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30 – 4pm Friday)

You can also report online via Oxford County Council reporting procedures.

For children:

If you are a child with concerns, please speak to an adult in school who can support you. You can also call Childline on 0800 1111 or look on their website for support.
